Leidos won the original iteration of this Transportation Security Administration contract in 2021.

Leidos has won a potential eight-year, $672.5 million contract to continue its role as lead deployer of checkpoint security equipment at airports for the Transportation Security Administration.

TSA uses the contract to acquire support across the full lifecycle of screening equipment inclusive of imaging technology, walk-through metal detectors, X-ray systems, explosive trace detection systems, bottled liquid scanners, computed tomography systems, credential authorization tech and chemical analysis devices.

TSA awarded this second iteration of the Security Equipment Deployment Services Checkpoint contract on Monday and received three bids in total, according to Sam.gov records.

The contract tasks Leidos with coordinating, installing, removing and relocating passenger screening systems at airport security checkpoints. Leidos also provides services to TSA in support of site surveys, design, site preparation, electrical installation, logistics and equipment testing efforts.

Work under the new contract will take place over one initial base year and up to seven individual option years.

Leidos captured the original iteration in 2021 and has received $435 million in order volume since, according to GovTribe data.
