ASRC Federal has hired a new chief financial officer in Joe Winthrop, a two-decade government market veteran who joins after 15 years at Science Applications International Corp.

At SAIC, Winthrop was most recently senior vice president of finance for the defense and civilian group. He also built and led a large team to assist in SAIC's transition to a decentralized operating model, while also having a major role in the company's financial planning and analysis functions.

"I will work to reinforce the organization's dual purpose of serving its Alaska Native shareholders and advancing government customer missions through thoughtful investments and responsible financial management," Winthrop said in a release Thursday.

For more on the company Winthrop is joining, listen to this episode of our WT 360 podcast featuring ASRC Federal's chief executive Jennifer Felix. The agenda for that conversation includes ASRC Federal's acquisition of the former SAIC supply chain and logistics business that closed in the spring of 2023.
