This new roundup of hires and promotions includes a pair of public sector-focused appointments at a commercially oriented cyber company.

Alpha Omega

Eric Laychock has joined the digital transformation provider as chief operating officer amid its push to double its size to $220 million in annual revenue from the current base.

Laychock previously worked at KPMG for 13 years including his most recent role as a managing director, which involved leadership of the firm’s federal healthcare practice and federal Workday portfolio.

This appointment follows Alpha Omega’s acquisitions of Macro Solutions and SeKON.

Amivero

This specialist in digital transformation and identity management solutions has added a trio of market veterans to its senior vice president ranks.

Ray Shuler is now senior vice president and strategic adviser, Dave Larrimore joined as SVP of solution engineering, and Melissa Myette started as SVP of growth.

Shuler most recently served as assistant director for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agency. Larrimore previously served in two roles at Homeland Security Department, including chief technology officer and chief artificial intelligence officer.

Myette is a 14-year market veteran who joins Amivero from Peraton, where she worked as senior director of business development for its citizen security and public services sector.

BWXT

Robb LeMasters has stepped down from his role as chief financial officer at the nuclear component manufacturer after four years in that role.

LeMasters has been with BWXT since its spinoff from Babcock & Wilcox in 2015, including a five-year term on the board of directors after that transaction. He then became chief strategy officer in 2020 before his transition to CFO in 2021.

BWXT’s chief accounting officer Mike Fitzgerald will work as CFO on an interim basis. He joined the company in 2022 as CAO after a stint as managing director of MorganFranklin’s aerospace and defense practice.

Capital Technology Group

James Bench has joined this specialist in enterprise architecture and application integration work as chief delivery officer.

The two-decade market veteran’s career includes stints as a managing director for consulting initiatives at Maximus and chief information officer at its Veterans Evaluation Services subsidiary.

At VES, he led digital transformation efforts to aid in veterans’ healthcare evaluations across the U.S.

Excella

Tammy McChain has joined the digital and organizational transformation services company as vice president for its national security market, a role she brings nearly four decades of experience to.

She most recently worked as chief delivery officer at Brillient Corp. and before that was a senior vice president at NTT Data’s federal subsidiary, focused on the health and civilian market.

McChain’s career includes 14 years at NTT Data and another 14 years at BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary.

Guidehouse

John Morris has joined the global advisory and professional services provider to lead its health segment that includes providers, government agencies, life sciences companies, payers and other healthcare organizations.

The four-decade market veteran's career includes 18 years at Accenture, where he led the North America healthcare business and other key regional initiatives.

Guidehouse describes his career as including work on large-scale strategy, consulting, technology and operations initiatives.

IonQ

Josh Shapiro, who joined the quantum computing technology company in 2020 from one of its investors, has moved into a president and general manager role for its quantum networking business.

Shapiro will guide IonQ’s technical roadmap for building infrastructure needed for a future quantum internet, as well as integration of key acquisitions such as the pending Capella Space buy announced Thursday.

He most recently worked as vice president for financial planning and analysis, corporate development, and investor relations. He joined IonQ after first working with the company as an investor in it at New Enterprise Associates.

Kentro

Paul Doyle is now senior vice president of national security at this technology and professional services provider formerly known as IT Concepts.

Kentro unveiled this new branding and identity to the market in late April following 22 years under the former name.

Doyle joins Kentro after nine years at Mission Essential, where he was a senior vice president. His two-decade public sector market career also includes leadership roles at Visual Soft and Intelligent Decisions.

NinjaOne

Aaron Kinworthy and Egon Rinderer have joined the network endpoint management software provider to steer its strategy and vision for the U.S. government market.

Kinworthy was appointed vice president of public sector and will lead NinjaOne’s sales teams for that vertical. The two-decade technology veteran most recently worked as VP of federal sales at Databricks and before that worked at ServiceNow.

Rinderer was named senior vice president of federal and enterprise growth, a role that involves leadership of efforts to bridge customer-facing solutions with internal engineering functions. The 35-year market veteran most recently worked as chief technology officer at Shift5.

NSTXL

Gretchen Clark is now chief financial officer at this nonprofit organization, which manages consortia responsible for helping agencies run Other Transaction Authority contracting processes.

Clark joins NSTXL following a stint as CFO at Miami Waterkeeper, a nonprofit advocating for the preservation of South Florida’s watershed. She is also a former CFO and chief operating officer for Source Molecular Corp.

NSTXL describes her two-decade financial background as including transformations, cost structure overhaul efforts and the management of post-acquisition integrations.

Serco Inc.

Kim Joiner has moved over to the role of vice president for government relations at the company’s subsidiary for the U.S. government market.

Joiner will oversee Serco Inc’s political action committee and engagements with officials in the executive and legislative branches of government.

A three-decade public sector veteran, she most recently worked as a senior adviser to Serco Inc.’s chief technology officer. Her career in government includes service as deputy assistant secretary for military community and family policy.

Saronic

Doug Lambert and Vib Altekar, two members of the founding team that stared Saronic in 2022, have taken on expanded leadership roles at the autonomous surface vessel maker.

Lambert is now chief operating officer and will continue to oversee Saronic’s functions in production, engineering, research and development. His additional responsibilities now include deepening coordination across Saronic’s supply chain and services teams.

As chief technology officer, Altekar will lead the work to develop and advance Saronic’s autonomous capabilities and software systems. That includes the technical roadmap for autonomy, onboard systems and artificial intelligence integration.

Earlier this year, Saronic completed a $600 million Series C capital round to support its construction of a manufacturing hub and shipyard it is calling Port Alpha.

NobleReach Foundation

Drs. Ralph Semmel and Jill Tiefenthaler have joined the board of directors at this nonprofit organization focused on fusing technology and talent to aid innovation efforts across the U.S.

Semmel has led the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory as director for the past 15 years and will step down from that role in July.

Tiefenthaler is chief executive of the National Geographic Society.

Viasat

Dr. William “Bill” LaPlante and Michael Paull have joined the satellite network operator’s board of directors, with both moves taking effect immediately.

LaPlante is the former defense undersecretary for acquisition and sustainment, while Paull is currently chief executive of audiobook publisher RBmedia. Paull is also a former president for Disney’s direct-to-consumer business.

Additionally, Jim Bridenstine resigned his seat from the board in a move also taking effect immediately. His career includes service as a NASA administrator and U.S. representative from Oklahoma.
