Find opportunities — and win them.

Sphinx is using this transaction to gain a pair contract vehicles and an avenue for advancing its cyber software product line.

Sphinx, a developer of software tools for counterintelligence and cyber operators, has acquired another company that specializes in foreign language translation and systems development services.

Enigma International was founded in 2014 and touts its customers as including military and law enforcement agencies worldwide. The company designs its software to incorporate automation and artificial intelligence functions into security operations.

Through the transaction announced Monday, Sphinx also gains a place on the government-wide OASIS+ professional services vehicle and Language Interpretation and Translation Enterprise II contract at the Defense Intelligence Agency.

“They not only add unique qualifications that aid in the protection of U.S. interests, but they are embedded within three new intelligence organizations, where we can now drive transformative solutions,” Sphinx CEO Garrett Pagon said of Enigma in a release.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Sphinx also views the transaction as helping it in efforts to advance the deployment of its Advanced Intelligence & Security software product line that supports cyber and counterintelligence missions.

Sphinx opened for business in 2018 to concentrate on technology requirements in the special operations, intelligence and cyber warfare domains. The company is backed by Block 3, an investor focused on companies involved in cyber and geospatial technologies.
