AE Industrial Partners
Oscar Torres has taken up an operating partner position at this private equity firm focused on the defense, aerospace and industrial services verticals.
Torres is a 25-year aerospace market veteran who most recently led aftermarket distributor Kellstrom as CEO for three years, a period that ended with its sale to VSE Corp. in December 2024.
At AE Industrial, Torres will work with its portfolio companies and identify opportunities for investments.
Alpha Omega
John Blatchford has taken up a business unit leadership position at this digital transformation specialist, which he joined in January via its acquisition of Macro Solutions.
Blatchford will lead the federal financials division in its work with agencies to optimize their operations, lower risk and use data.
His three-decade career prior to Macro Solutions includes roles at Salient, CRGT, Pragmatics, Fannie Mae and AOL.
Antenna Research Associates
Ash Srivastava has joined the communications equipment maker as chief financial officer, a role he brings two decades of experience to.
He most recently worked as CFO at kSARIA Interconnect, a fiber optic cable manufacturer. His tenure there included the integrations of four acquired businesses.
Srivastava’s career also includes stops at Bombardier.
BWXT Technologies
Mike Fitzpatrick is now chief financial officer on a full-time basis at the nuclear component supplier, where he was its interim CFO since May 12.
Fitzpatrick joined BWXT in 2022 as chief accounting officer after a stint as managing director of MorganFranklin’s aerospace and defense practice.
Outside of BWXT, he is a member of the board of directors for nonprofit organization CRi.
Chugach Government Solutions
Laine Klein will join the federal services provider to lead it as president on Aug. 4 after 12 years with Amentum and its heritage businesses.
As a senior vice president at Amentum, she helped lead large-scale organizational transformations and integration activities.
Klein succeeds CGS’ former interim president Virginia Robinson, who is staying with the company in the dual roles of chief administrative officer and chief legal officer.
CGS is the federal contracting division of Chugach Alaska Corp.
Clarity Innovations
Diana Leadbetter has joined the national security technology integrator as chief human resources officer, a role she brings 18 years of experience to.
She most recently worked as a senior vice president of human resources at CACI International. Her career also includes HR leadership roles at Halfaker and Associates, along with General Dynamics IT.
Leadbetter joins Clarity one year after it merged with Chameleon Consulting Group.
Data Computer Corporation of America
Matthew Johnson joined the provider of systems engineering and software development services as chief growth officer in January.
DCCA cites Johnson’s 25-year industry career as including business development leadership roles at companies such as General Dynamics IT, Perspecta, CACI International, Six3 Systems and American Management Systems.
DCCA has also hired Derek Noppenberger and Barry Adams as vice presidents of strategic growth for the defense and intelligence division, while Ric Bush was named BD director for the health technology and financial technology division.
DMI
Lori Shaw has joined the IT and managed services provider as capture leader for its federal business and will oversee the pursuits of high-priority opportunities.
A three-decade market veteran, Shaw will also shape strategies for those pursuits and support the alignment of DMI’s offerings to federal missions.
Shaw most recently was an account director at Science Applications International Corp. Her career also includes roles at Unisys, Fulcrum IT and Apptis.
DTC
Brady Crosier has joined the communications technology provider as vice president of business development for the Asia-Pacific region and will be based in Taiwan.
The retired Army colonel will also work as a senior liaison for DTC to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, U.S. embassies, and other key government and commercial partners.
Crosier’s career includes service as chief of the Security Cooperation Office in Taiwan from 2000 to 2023. DTC is a subsidiary of Codan Communications, which is headquartered in Australia.
Empower AI
Juan Toves has joined the artificial intelligence solutions integrator as chief growth officer, a role that involves leadership over business development and capture functions.
The two-decade market veteran most recently worked as a vice president of business development at Peraton.
He has also worked in leadership roles at Akima, CSRA and Science Applications International Corp.
General Dynamics IT
Michael Grochol has moved into the vice president of technology post at the defense company’s IT services division.
Grochol joined GDIT following its 2024 acquisition of Iron EagleX, the special operations-focused tech integrator he founded and subsequently led as CEO.
Now at GDIT, he will lead strategic tech initiatives and oversee the development of new solutions.
IBM
Dr. Radha Plumb, the former Pentagon chief digital and artificial intelligence officer, has joined Big Blue as vice president for AI-first transformation in a role cutting across all business lines.
Plumb will lead initiatives aimed at helping clients integrate AI, automation and hybrid cloud offerings. One big component of that is a “Client Zero” approach, where Plumb will oversee pilots of AI solutions within IBM itself before deploying to customers.
CDAO is the Defense Department’s main organization responsible for the adoption of data, analytics and AI across the military.
IonQ
Rick Muller, former director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency, will join the quantum computing and networking technology company later in July as a vice president.
Muller will lead IonQ’s team for quantum computing systems development as the company pushes to build the world’s most powerful quantum computers with 2 million qubits by 2030.
He led IARPA for close to a year and also served in technical research roles at the Sandia National Laboratories and Energy Department’s Quantum Systems Accelerator, among other government organizations.
Parry Labs
Amber Walker has moved up to chief growth officer at the defense technology company to oversee the partnership and market expansion leg of its strategy.
Walker first joined Parry Labs in 2024 as senior vice president of ground, C2 and maritime systems after previously working as a senior technical director at Anduril.
Her career also includes roles at Raytheon and its BBN Technologies subsidiary, as well as a program manager position at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
PwC
Morgan Adamski, formerly the highest-ranking civilian official and third overall at Cyber Command, has joined the global consulting firm to work with clients on managing their technology portfolios.
Adamski’s official title at PwC is a U.S. leader in its cyber, data and technology risk business.
Her government service career also includes 15 years as a senior executive at the National Security Agency.
QinetiQ US
Scott McGleish has joined the defense technology company’s U.S. subsidiary as chief growth officer to help lead its pursuits across key priorities.
The three-decade defense sector veteran most recently worked as president and general manager at Weibel Scientific North America.
His private sector career also includes roles at Raytheon Technologies and Booz Allen Hamilton. Before that, he served in the Army for 21 years as a special forces officer and non-commissioned officer.
Red Cell Partners
Michael Kilberry has joined the incubation and investment firm as chief product and technology officer to help guide its activities in the health care, cyber and national security verticals.
The two-decade industry veteran will work with Red Cell and its portfolio companies on their product and technical strategies, along with the development and delivery of new technologies.
Kilberry’s career includes executive roles at the cloud computing businesses of Amazon and Google, as well as senior positions at Microsoft and Snowflake.
Valkyrie
Adam Burke will join the provider of sustainment and modernization services on Aug. 5 as chief financial officer, a role he brings 25 years of experience to.
Burke most recently held the CFO post at Threat Tech. He is also a former CFO for companies such as Linxx Global Solutions, ITA International and Xe Services.
Valkyrie cited Burke’s background as including transactions, integrations, finance, human resources, operations, capital structuring and internal controls.
HII
Nick Stanage, formerly chief executive of the industrial material maker Hexcel, has been elected to the board of directors at the shipbuilding and government technology company.
He led Hexcel as CEO from 2013 to May 2024, then moved into the executive chairman post before he stepped down in November 2024. Hexcel is a key supplier of composite materials to several aerospace-and-defense companies.
Stanage’s appointment expands the HII board size to 13 members from 12. He will sit on the audit committee, and the governance and policy committee.
Science Applications International Corp.
David Urban will join the board of directors on Sept. 15 and also become a member of the panel’s audit committee.
Urban is a former senior adviser to President Trump and political strategist. He currently is a managing director at BGR Group, of counsel at Torridon Law and a senior political commentator at CNN.
His appointment expands the board’s size to 12 members from 11.
