Find opportunities — and win them.

Amentum's decision comes only a few months after Booz Allen Hamilton also chose Reston, Virginia for its headquarters.

Amentum will relocate its corporate headquarters to Reston, Virginia, from Chantilly with the goal of opening the campus during the first half of 2027.

The company has signed a lease agreement with Comstock to occupy 45,000 square feet of space covering 16 stories at 1900 Reston Metro Plaza, a location inside the Reston Station development and within walking distance from Booz Allen Hamilton’s future headquarters at 1870 Reston Row.

Booz Allen announced its selection of Reston in November and plans to complete that move in early 2027. Amentum’s decision to move there too grows the list of Washington Technology Top 100 companies whose headquarters are or will be in Reston.

Other members of this group include:

  • ASRC Federal
  • Bechtel
  • CACI International
  • Carahsoft
  • General Dynamics
  • ICF
  • Leidos
  • Noblis
  • Peraton
  • Science Applications International Corp.
  • V2X

Amentum’s first headquarters was in Gaithersburg, Maryland, from the company’s formation until its 2023 move to the current location in Chantilly. In 2024, Amentum merged with the federal-facing services units of Jacobs in a transaction that took it to the public markets.

Amentum employs close to 50,000 people and posted $14.4 billion in annual revenue for its most recent fiscal year ended Sept. 30.

In choosing Reston, Amentum sought a location with immediate access to the Metrorail Silver Line and one that enhances the overall employee experience.

“This modern headquarters, featuring a next-generation Technology Showcase, will bring our teams together and serve as a destination for customers, employees, and partners to experience our advanced engineering and technology solutions firsthand,” Amentum’s chief operating officer Steve Arnett said in a release.

“It is designed to provide a collaborative environment for our workforce while reinforcing our reputation as a trusted advanced engineering partner dedicated to solving the most pressing challenges across science, security, and sustainability,” added Darren Burton, the company’s chief people officer.
