B/Core acquires another intelligence community specialist

NewSpring Holdings first entered its investment in B/CORE in 2023 and has since supported a handful of acquisitions to build a larger IT and digital transformation provider.
B/Core, a technology integrator focused on national security programs, has acquired a fellow company focused on the intelligence community in a continuing push to expand in that customer set.
Heidi Gerhards founded Fuel Consulting in 2004 to concentrate on organizational transformation and technology insertion efforts at intelligence agencies. Fuel also works with clients on developing performance frameworks as a way to aid agencies in applying new tech for mission impact.
Financial terms of the transaction announced Thursday were not disclosed.
Private equity firm NewSpring Holdings acquired the B/Core business in July 2023 and has since supported a handful of purchases to build it into a larger IT and digital transformation provider for IC and Defense Department agencies.
NewSpring is the same investor behind Avantus Federal, which QinetiQ’s U.S. subsidiary acquired in 2022 for $590 million.
