NT Concepts, Oddball appoint new chief executives

Mark Cabrey has been with NT Concepts for six years, while Rob Silverman joins Oddball after two decades at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Mark Cabrey has moved up to the CEO position, six years after he joined the company as chief financial officer to help lead its pivot toward having a heavier bent on technology integration.

NT Concepts is shifting its focus to providing artificial intelligence-driven engineering, analytics and modernization services for agencies in the defense and intelligence communities.

As CEO, Cabrey will also lead work to align NT Concepts’ research and tech investments with operational deployment efforts. The company’s portfolio includes multi-service Other Transaction Authority agreements, Small Business Innovation Research Phase III projects and production contracts.

NT Concepts has recorded approximately $23.4 million in prime contract revenue over the trailing 12 months. The Defense Information Systems Agency represents the largest portion of that spend at 92%, according to USASpending.gov data.

Cabrey added the chief operating officer title in May while also continuing as CFO. His 26-year career also includes stints as COO and CFO at Technica Corp., plus CFO and COO duties at Phacil.

Oddball

Digital services provider Oddball has appointed Rob Silverman has joined the digital services provider as CEO following 23 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, inclusive of leadership roles over strategy and operations.

Silverman succeeds co-founder Travis Sorensen, who led Oddball’s launch in 2016 along with fellow co-founder Rob Wilkinson. The CEO transition is taking place following Oddball’s receipt of a growth investment from the private equity firm Falfurrias Management Partners in January.

While at Booz Allen, Silverman oversaw the integrations of several acquisitions and oversaw the firm’s portfolio at the Health and Human Services Department. Those transactions included Liberty IT Solutions, Everwatch and PAR Government.

Oddball has recorded approximately $80.7 million in unclassified prime contract revenue over the trailing 12 months. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services represents 47% of that spend and the Veterans Affairs Department is next at 39%, according to USASpending.gov data.

Oddball has worked with CMS to modernize the Medicare.gov website and is one of 10 primes on a potential $2.4 billion VA vehicle called CEDAR, which focuses on developing digital products for user experience initiatives.
